We recognize that skin is a living organ that, because of aging, pollution, stress and other factors, can lose its health and resilience. We also know that with proper attention, techniques and advanced skin care products, damaged skin can be rejuvenated, look healthy and function properly again.
Working closely with a plastic surgeon, her husband Dr. Steven Bonawitz, Cheri Bonawitz offers professional, confidential skin care services that can: Diminish fine lines and wrinkles, increase skin smoothness, reduce pore size, improve elasticity, remove brown spots, blotches and superficial blemishes, and equalize pigmentation. As part of that treatment, she offers facials and several types of therapeutic chemical peels that revitalize the skin. She also specializes in hair reduction, vein removal, the treatment of telangectasia (the broken blood vessels usually associated with rosacia), and the treatment of acne.
SKIN CARE SPECIALIST | CHERI BONAWITZ
Cheri Bonawitz is a radiation therapist (Upstate Medical Center at SUNY) with a decade of experience treating problems of the skin. Her specialized training includes PhotoDerm certification under Dr. Guy Stoffman of the University of Pittsburgh and the ESC Medical Group; Advanced Hair Removal training with Dr. Stoffman; certification of on-going training in skin care by the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists; and course work with Dr. Obagi at the Obagi Institute. SERVICES The office offers many options for men and women looking for personalized skin care. PhotoDerm: This intense pulsed-light technology is successful for hair reduction, vein removal, photo-rejuvenation, birthmark removal and the treatment of telangectasia or broken blood vessels. Skin-enhancing peels: Including gently revitalizing glycolic peels as well as deeper, more aggressive chemical peels. Skin care products and regiments: The office offers three different product lines, including the exclusive Obagi Nu-Derm system. Laser resurfacing: Like peels, this technique also resurfaces the skin to treat wrinkles, age spots, scars and other problems. This technique is performed by a physician.
